LINE MAN Wongnai, in collaboration with The Institute for the Promotion of Teaching Science and Technology (IPST), recently hosted its second “Spectrum Tech Camp 2025.” Themed “Tech is for Everyone,” the camp aims to showcase diversity in the tech industry beyond gender and provide high school students from all academic backgrounds nationwide with future-ready skills from industry professionals, addressing Thailand’s tech talent shortage. As part of Pride Month, the Spectrum Tech Camp 2025 marks the first time the program is open to the public nationwide with completely free of charge—hosted at LINE MAN Wongnai headquarter in Bangkok. It drew over 1,000 applicants from across Thailand, with 60 students selected from a wide range of backgrounds: different genders, academic tracks, religions, school types both public and private, and from schools across provincial Thailand. This diversity underscores that a passion for tech isn’t limited to men or STEM students. With the right opportunities, it can come from anyone. Isriya Paireepairit, VP of Public Affairs at LINE MAN Wongnai, highlighted that “The global tech industry continues to face significant diversity gaps across gender, age, and background. Women and LGBTQ+ professionals make up less than 30%1 of the workforce and remain underrepresented in leadership roles especially in fields like AI and software engineering. At the same time, Thailand is experiencing a severe tech talent shortage, with over 179,000 open positions but just 9,358 applicants2. The solution lies at the intersection that we need a bigger, more diverse talent pool. That’s where Spectrum Tech Camp comes in for sparking interest and building real-world tech skills among students from all academic backgrounds, whether they’re in STEM, the arts, or other fields. We believe diversity in tech goes beyond gender, it’s also about different perspectives, skills, and backgrounds — all essential for building technology that works for everyone.” The camp gives students the chance to tackle real-world challenges from the LINE MAN app, which serves over 10 million users daily. By working closely with mentors from LINE MAN Wongnai, participants gain firsthand experience and insights into the company’s work culture, something rarely found in traditional classrooms or coding courses. They also hear directly from Pattrawoot Suesatayasilp, CTO of LINE MAN Wongnai and co-founder of Wongnai. Through hands-on workshops in four high-demand fields including Software Development, UX/UI Design, Data Science, and Business Development, students explore the tech world in an inclusive space that encourages them to be themselves, think big, and collaborate. As AI continues to evolve rapidly, LINE MAN Wongnai Spectrum Tech Camp focuses on building skills that AI can’t replace, essential for managing large-scale applications.
